Audio Described Performances - Vermont Council of the Blind

16 July 2018

“Annie” & “Mamma Mia:”

Once again, we will be audio describing two performances at the Lyric Theater. The shows for the 2018-2019 seasons are “Annie” and “Mamma Mia.” We will audio describe the Sunday matinee performance for both productions. “Annie” will be on Sunday November 11, 2018 and “Mamma Mia” will be on Sunday April 14, 2019.

Annie is the story of the trials and tribulations of an orphan girl and her eventual meeting with Daddy Warbucks. You are welcome to bring your grandchildren.

Mamma Mia is based on the songs of ABBA. It takes place on a Greek Island when a young woman is about to marry and wants to find out who her father was. There are three possibilities and mamma isn’t telling. All three arrive for the wedding. Mix-ups and fun for all.

To purchase tickets in August and reserve good seats, I need to know the number of tickets you want for each show. The subsidized price will be $25.00 per ticket. At this time, I need a commitment. You may pay for the November show by October 1, 2018 and for the April show by March 1, 2019.

As always, drivers of the blind and visually impaired members are the guests of The Vermont Council.
