Audio described shows

18 August 2017

The Vermont Council of the Blind plans to audio describe the two shows being
presented by The Lyric Theatre Company for the 2017 - 2018 season.
The first show will be the Sunday matinee on November 12 at 2 PM. The show is
“A Christmas Story, The Musical”. Ralphie has one wish for Christmas - a Red
Ryder BB gun. A kooky leg lamp, pink bunny PJs and a triple-dog-dare to lick the
flagpole. Great music and a heart of gold.
The second show will be the Sunday matinee on April 8, 2018 at 2 PM. The show
is “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.” It takes us to the French Riviera where a hilarious
battle of con artists ensues. Sophisticated, suave with a good deal of mischief, this
hysterical comedy features a delightfully jazzy score and was nominated for a
staggering eleven Tony Awards.
Both shows will be at the Flynn Theatre on Main Street, Burlington. The cost for
members will be $25.00 per ticket. As always, drivers are the guest of The
Vermont Council.
In order to purchase tickets, I need to know the number of people who are
interested in attending. Please make a commitment as soon as possible. Tickets go
on sale in August and I like to order early to get good seats. You may pay for the
tickets at a later date (Oct. 15 for the Nov 12 show, and March 15 for the April 8
