THE VERMONT COUNCIL OF THE BLIND
We will be audio describing the Lyric Theatre’s production of “Dirty Rotten
Scoundrels.” The performance is the matinee on Sunday April 8. Curtain is at 2
PM and we ask that you arrive by 1:30 PM to receive your headphone and for early
seating.
“Dirty Rotten Scoundrels “.is a musical comedy that takes place on the
French Riviera. Two con-artists are busily at work in a casino swindling wealthy
women. One woman tries to force one of the con-artists to marry her. They plan
to have the other pose as his repulsive brother who will be part of their lives. She
doesn’t want that. The two con-artists then decide that there is not enough “space”
for both of them. They create a competition. The first one who is able to swindle
$50,000.00 out of a woman, stays and the other will leave. The wealthy heiress
arrives and then the fun begins. There are multiple songs, some more familiar than
others.
The cost of subsidized tickets is $25.00 each. As always drivers of the blind
and visually impaired are the guests of The Vermont Council. Since we have only
